Washingtonian celebrated its newest publication, Washingtonian MOM, with a launch party at Bryan Voltaggio’s Range in Chevy Chase Pavilion. Throughout the invitation-only reception, guests enjoyed delicious tastes from the restaurant, including a raw bar, a flatbread station, and a beautiful cheese and charcuterie display. Holly Chapple provided gorgeous hot pink florals for the evening, and Scout donated black and white cooler totes as gift bags.

Washingtonian publisher Cathy Merrill Williams and Washingtonian MOM editor Kate Bennett thanked the attendees who helped give the new publication wings, including the Washingtonian MOM advisory board, contributors, and the magazine’s valued advertisers.

Congrats to a brilliant concept. We hope the rest of 'the family' is not too far behind ;)

Kudos to the Washingtonian for highlighting "Moms" in its new publication been a long time coming. HOWEVER, it is unconscionable for the first publication to perpetuate disrespect for people of culture on its premiere cover. It seems of all the editors, journalists, supporters and intelligent mom's that attended the event they were oblivious to the clear stereotyping of Native Americans that appears even in the picture within the article. Is it ignorance? Institutional racism? or Washingtonians way of exuding its perception that the white race is above another race? Shame on those that aren't disturbed.
