for Tom Bartlett‘s profile of Gene Weingarten in the December 2011 issue; and in excellence in writing, for the March 2011 issue. The magazine was also a finalist in several
other categories: special issue (November 2011), ancillary publication (Washingtonian Bride & Groom), and leisure service (last August’s “Great Day Trips 2011”). And Best Bites Blog’s own Jessica Voelker was a finalist for food writing for her work last year at Seattle Met.
