The Mansion on O is a very eccentric place to stay. Rooms have themes—choices range from the Lennon Room to the Graceland Suite to a two-story log cabin room. It’s fun to wander: There are 32 secret doors, a museum, a room downstairs where everything is on sale, more than 30,000 books to borrow, and even Gibson guitars to play.

The hotel is tucked away in a residential row of townhouses, with only a small plate on its brick exterior that announces: “The Mansion.” But the hotel is surprisingly large, with 100 rooms—there are 55 guest accommodations. It takes up much of its block. Size choices range from one-bedrooms to a seven-bedroom suite.

An English breakfast is included every morning and rooms have modern technology, including complimentary wi-fi.
