Hilton Garden Inn is a cozy choice in downtown DC. The black-and-white atrium lobby leads into a restaurant, Great American Grill, that’s a modern and newly renovated lounge done up in sea greens. Rooms, for the most part, are unembellished and simple, but they do have a puffy Garden Sleep System bed that looks easy to sink into, a flat-screen TV, microwave, and mini-fridge.
