Neighborhood Eats: Market Lunch

One of last year’s saddest events was the fire that destroyed Eastern Market’s South Hall, home of many food purveyors and this hallowed breakfast/lunch stand. Now under the market’s temporary tent, the spot’s following remains devoted—show up after 8:30 on Saturday and you’ll probably have to wait for a seat at the communal table. Also unchanged is the menu, centered around Blue Buck pancakes studded with buckwheat and blueberries, overstuffed egg sandwiches known as bricks, and eggs Benedict doused with hot-sauce–spiked hollandaise.
