Yesterday's service for President Gerald Ford at the National Cathedral was filled with pomp and circumstance, from the President's Own—the Marine Corps band—to memorials from Tom Brokaw, Henry Kissinger and President Bush.
We've obtained a little piece of history that we wanted to share—a copy of the official program (large PDF), handed out to the some three thousand special guests and VIPs who packed the Cathedral for the morning service.
Browse through the readings, take a look at the music, and look at the responsive prayers. Although the funeral lacked some of pageantry of other Presidents' memorials, it was still a lengthy service for one of the nation's top officials.
If you want to watch the memorial service itself, go to C-Span's special web page.
