Now Washingtonians are speaking out. A petition encouraging mayor Adrian Fenty not to reverse the measure is making the rounds on the Web. A blog, Save The Parties, has been created to house the petition, which reads: "Mayor Fenty: The people voted overwhelmingly for change, and we want to celebrate that change big-time! Stand strong—don't back down on 5 a.m. bar closings during Inauguration week."
What do you think? Should bars be allowed to stay open, or are Senators Bennett and Feinstein correct to try to reverse the ruling? Let us know in the comments below.
