Welcome to Burger Brackets, where we ask you to vote to discover the best burger in Washington. Today's face-off is...

Who makes the best burger in Washington? We're holding a March Madness-style, bracketed face-off to find out. Check back every day at 10 AM and 2 PM for continuing burger vs. burger competitions. And don't forget to vote for your favorites!

And we're on to our second bracket in the Burger Brackets. What do you think of the match-ups? Let us know in the comments. When we've gone through this week's face-offs, we'll hit the second round—and we think things will get really exciting then. So keep checking back!

Today's burger challenge? Check below.

Sonoma: Hill-dwellers love the $15 burger made from dry-aged Maryland Angus beef, topped with locally-grown tomatoes, and served on brioche at this dimly lit wine bar.

Chadwicks: The $9 burger at the Georgetown branch of this friendly neighborhood pub is nearly a half-pound of charbroiled Angus topped with lettuce, tomato, and a pickle. On Mondays you'll find it for half-price.

Who makes the better burger? Vote in the poll below, then leave your thoughts in the comments. Then go and vote in the Matchbox vs. Union Street Public House burger face-off—that's open until 10 AM tomorrow.
