Flowers aren’t the only thing that people are checking out at the Cherry Blossom Festival this year. Love is in full bloom, and a trip to the Tidal Basin may be all you need to find that spring fling. Just don’t let that special someone slip away like these Craigslisters.

I saw you down at the Jefferson Memorial and kept trying to make eye contact. Unfortunately, you seemed to be rather spazzed out or something and we never really connected. Thought I’d give this a shot:
Me: 30, black jacket, sunglasses, brown slacks, 6-0, 155 lbs, white guy with darker skin You: older-looking guy, snappy dresser, 19 ft tall, 10,000 lbs, bronzed.
Drop me a line sometime.
Isn’t he a little too old for you?
Red dress/brown boots/white bag – Cherry Blossom Festival – m4w – 34 (Rosslyn Metro / Tidal Basin) Reply to: pers-xcez4-1110914106@craigslist.org Date: 2009-04-07, 8:16AM EDT
You: Petite brunette, wearing a red sun dress (floral print?), brown boots with fringe trim, and carrying a large white bag. Saw you on the platform at the Rosslyn Metro on Sunday (4/5), got on a separate train due to the crowd, thought I saw you later at the Tidal Basin. You stood out against the thousands of cherry blossoms — and other women — that day.
Me: Leather jacket, blue button-down shirt, black pants, brown hair, blue eyes. Our eyes met a couple of times on the platform — thought we may have had some chemistry.
Awww. How about a picnic date under the cherry blossom trees?

I met you Sunday during the Cherry Blossom festivities while my sister-in-law and I were riding our bikes in D.C. You took our picture and we chatted for a couple minutes, but I didn’t get your name and you didn’t get mine. I can’t stop thinking about you. I hope you come across this posting.
You should have taken his picture.

Monday morning at the bus stop on East-West Highway Jones Mill Rd. You were wearing a beautiful green trench coat, taking a picture of cherry blossom with your cell phone. I don’t need to describe myself, we were alone. I had this irresistible desire to tell you how much you are sublime and amazingly cute! I wish you will read this ad! “Missed connections” are pretty silly, but what can you do?
Thanks to all the cute cirls out there running early this morning. You certainly made my time a lot better than it otherwise would have been. Congratulations!
Don’t trip and fall.

I was crossing the street with my family, you were in a navy blue car in the passenger seat. you have beautiful blue eyes. our eyes met for a few seconds, and then we both looked away. then they met again. I really want to get to know you. ive never tried this before but i knew we had a connection. email me with what i was wearing.
Eye contact with someone inside a moving car is really not a connection.
