They say a week is a long time in politics, but apparently it’s not long enough for Senator Joe Wilson to stop apologizing for his apology, or to let us know that the one apology he regrets issuing is more than sufficient. It’s exhausting just trying to get your head around it, which can also be said for Bob Inglis’s speeding-car analogy. Health care is still the most popular tweeting topic among our representatives, although the September 12 Tea Party march in DC comes a close second. One congressman assures us that he’ll “demand answers from Metro” as to why the District was unprepared for an influx of elderly, disabled veterans. To which we say: Good luck.
In other news, Claire McCaskill hearts Warren Buffett. Jim DeMint hearts freedom. Kevin Brady hearts Fox News, and Arlen Specter hearts Barack Obama, which isn’t helping to dispel the “bromance” rumors.
