The Center for Wine Origins is hosting a port-and-cheese tasting at Whole Foods in Alexandria (1700 Duke St.). Learn about and sample ports and cheeses from around the world, and the tasting comes with a free tote bag to take home your treats. 5:30 to 7:30; free. If wine is more your thing, “Sip and Shop” is being held at Vineyard Vines (1225 Wisconsin Ave., NW), with sips from St. Francis Vineyards and a 10-percent discount on fall clothes. The DC Labor Film Festival, which kicks off tonight, is celebrating office life with screenings of Fast Food Nation, Office Space, and the area premiere of Fair Game at AFI (8633 Colesville Rd., Silver Spring). Ibirori!, Indego Africa’s third annual benefit and celebration, features a performance from the Rwandan dance group Amariza N’Amasonga as well as a silent auction, food, and drinks. Proceeds benefit the nonprofit, which provides resources to African women to help them achieve economic independence. At the Josephine Butler Parks Center (2437 15th St., NW) from 7 to 10. Fashion Fights Poverty presents the latest in sustainable and global fashion at RAW, its sixth annual gala. This year’s crop of designers include Nomi Ansari of Pakistan, recycled-clothing specialist Chez Kevito, and Comical Monkey’s hilarious T-shirts. Proving Sweden is more than just meatballs and affordable furniture, the House of Sweden is crowning “Miss Sinergy” from among 20 international ladies. “Celebrity” guests include various beauty queens and former Real World cast members. 7 PM. The punk-rock legends the Dead Kennedys are playing at the Rock & Roll Hotel. Nervous Impulse and Dirty Tactics are the opening bands. 9 PM. Buy tickets ($20) here.

He’s known for his iconic Campbell’s soup cans and portraits of Marilyn Monroe, but Andy Warhol was more than just a chronicler of commerce and celebrity. At “Andy Warhol: The Last Decade,” the Baltimore Museum of Art (Art Museum Dr. at N. Charles and 31st sts.) presents the first exhibit to explore his later works, including self-portraits and interpretations of da Vinci’s “The Last Supper.” It runs through January 9. Get carried away at the final day of the Hot Air Balloon, Wine, and Music Festival in Milwood, Virginia. The colorful balloons are launched at sunrise and sunset, and throughout the day you can take tethered rides. Want to keep your feet on the ground?
