A free concert with local talent and rarely seen Tennessee Williams

MUSIC: The melodious Canadian rock band Hey Rosetta! is at DC9 tonight. The five-member group includes a violinist and a cellist. 8:30 PM; get tickets ($10) at Ticket Alternative or at the door.

More than 600 children each year play in and take classes from the DC Youth Orchestra, making it the largest youth orchestra in the Washington area. They’re performing at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage tonight at 6. Free.

THEATER: Tennessee Continuum, a pair of rarely staged one-act plays by Tennessee Williams, is onstage at Artisphere. “Portrait of a Madonna” is a sketch of the character who later became Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire;The Gnädiges Fräulein” is a funny yet sad look at the human condition. 7:30 PM; purchase tickets ($50) at Artisphere’s Web site.
