The race, which raises funds for breast-cancer research, starts and ends near the National Air and Space Museum. The start time is 8 AM for runners and 8:15 for walkers. You can register in person at the Hyatt Washington DC until 6 PM today. Be sure to bring a completed registration form with you. The race costs $40 for walkers and $45 for runners.

Revolution Cycles is hosting a Pride Ride tonight at 6 to celebrate the LGBTQ community. The casual bike ride begins at the shop’s Crystal City location (220 20th St., South, Arlington) and runs along the trails in Arlington. The event fee ($25) includes bike and helmet rental, and food, drinks, and entertainment at Freddie’s Beach Bar following the ride. Check out the Facebook page for more information. To reserve a spot, click here and choose “Start Renting.” The third item listed on the next page is the Pride Ride, where you can sign up and pay online.

Head to Unity Woods Yoga Center in Bethesda for an all-levels community yoga class at 6 PM. The hour-long class is for ages 16 and older. $5; drop-in only.

Kids can burn off some energy at today’s Kids Tri Too in Manassas. The youth triathlon is aimed at kids ages 6 to 14, with shorter swimming, biking, and running distances suited for young bodies. All participants get goodie bags, and awards will be given out to top finishers. You can register ($60) here until 2 PM on Saturday.

The Girls on the Run DC 5K Run/Walk is today at American University. Designed for young girls in third through eighth grade, the race includes a health fair and family festival, which kicks off at 8:45 and includes face painting and temporary-tattoo stations. The 10 AM race starts and finishes in front of the Mary Graydon Student Center at 4400 Massachusetts Avenue, Northwest. At 11, there will be an awards ceremony and post-race yoga. Online registration ($20) closes at 11:59 PM on Saturday, or you can register day-of.

New to running? Check out the Back to Basics Running Clinic at Potomac River Running (7516 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church). The free seminar teaches good running technique and form. 11 AM. RSVP required.

Ongoing
Start your week feeling centered with a morning meditation and yoga session at Crystal City Water Park (1750 Crystal Dr., Arlington). The free class is led by instructors from Sport & Health. Bring your own mat. The event runs every Monday from 7 to 8 AM through September.

Did you know Tudor Place in Georgetown hosts a Yoga in the Garden class every Friday at 10 AM? The outdoor class costs $12 for one session or $100 for 10. Bring your own mat. The event runs through September. If it rains, the class is held inside.

If you missed out on registration for the Army Ten Miler in October, you’re in luck. Through August 19, race organizers are hosting a transfer program on the Web site, where people who signed up but can no longer participate may sell their bibs to unregistered runners. You can post a want-ad for a bib or search a sellers' inventory here.
