Revolution Cycles’s Crystal City shop is hosting a singles ride—sort of a mixer on bikes. Participants will complete a casual ride through Crystal City and enjoy ice cream afterwards. $30; reserve a spot here.

Solve this equation: yoga + break dancing = ____. Stumped? The answer’s BuddhaXtreme—BuddhaX for short—a ten-sequence, yoga-inspired “breakflow” workout. The creator, New York City breakdancer Ari Kassman, will be at Lululemon’s Georgetown store (3265 M St., NW) today to do a demo and teach some moves. The workshop will run from 3 to 5 PM. $15. Details are here.

From 10 to 4 at the DC Armory near RFK Stadium, United Way and Kaiser Permanente will provide free health screenings—everything from cholesterol testing to eye exams to a BMI assessment—as part of their Real Men Get Checked event. Despite the name, the screenings are open to everyone, but the event’s geared toward men, who, statistically speaking, see doctors less frequently than women. There will also be a DJ, games, prizes, a kids’ fitness program, and free haircuts.

The Washington DC Triathlon runs (and bikes and swims) today, taking over the better part of the National Mall and some of downtown. The sold-out race includes sprint- and Olympic-distance courses. Both races start in the Potomac with a swim under Arlington Memorial Bridge and end on foot at Third Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, Northwest. The first wave of swimmers will enter the water bright and early at 6 AM. More details are here.

Need a last-minute Father’s Day gift? If your dad’s a runner, sign up for the Father’s Day 8K. You and Dad can enjoy a nearly 5 mile out-and-back course along the C&O Canal towpath. There will be a small finish line festival with sponsors Georgetown Cupcake and Skinny Water, plus a post-race happy hour at Chadwick’s. The race starts at 6:30 PM—that’s right, an evening race—at Potomac and Grace Streets in Georgetown. You can register ($30) online until Saturday. Or register on race day ($40) at Georgetown Running Company from 3 to 4:30 or at the starting line from 5 to 6:15.

Potomac River Running is also hosting a Father’s Day run in Reston at South Lakes High School (11400 South Lakes Drive). The 5K race starts at 8 AM. There’s also a 1-mile fun run/walk, which starts at 8:45. Online registration ($30) closes on Friday, June 17, at 6 PM. Race-day registration at the starting line is $35.

Virginia Yoga Week ends today with an event called Free Yoga in the Fresh Air. From 3:30 to 5:40 at Montgomery Park in Old Town, yogis will gather for an acro-yoga demonstration, a yoga session, live music, raffle drawings, and more. The event is free. More information is here
