College Magazine made a list of top ten LGBT-friendly schools based on “outstanding richness in resources and services for LGBT students.” The schools weren’t ranked in a particular order, but Washington’s own American University made the list. AU was called out specifically for its Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Allies (GLBTA) Resource Center and Twitter feed. It also got nods for its events and programming for National LGBT Month, National Coming Out Day, Safe Space Sticker Program, and a special branch of the university library in the GLBTA Resource Center. Now AU can really say it has pride—in more ways than one.
