Montgomery County police report that multiple suspects took over the Cartier jewelry
store in Chevy Chase on Tuesday morning. According to Captain Paul Starks, “multiple
suspects entered the store, took over, smashed the case, took property, and then fled
into DC.” He said the “robbery unit is there now.”
We also called the store directly, but two employees we talked with said they could
not comment.
Captain Starks said more information would be available later Tuesday after the robbery
unit detectives finish their initial investigation.
