8 Late-Night Fitness Classes in DC

These studios offer classes at 8 PM or later—perfect for the midnight owl.

Washingtonians are the work-hard, play-hard type. But more often than not, we mostly do the former. The good news is that various fitness studios in the area totally understand our dilemma. That’s why they offer these late-night classes for those days when working overtime is a must and morning workouts just aren’t happening.

Capoeira, Yoga, and Tango at Stroga
Monday to Thursday at various times.
Beginning on Mondays, Stroga in Adams Morgan offers classes as late as 8:30 PM, from hot rocket yoga at 8:15 PM to tango lessons at 8:30 PM. Also offered: restorative and Budokon yoga classes.

Barre Class at Pure Barre
Monday to Thursday at 8:45 PM
A barre class will give your legs the workout they need after a long day of sitting. Pure Barre offers one of the latest class times around with its 55-minute Wednesday sessions at 8:45 PM.

“Suffer at Night” at Cycle Luv 
Thursdays at 8 PM
Loudoun County’s only indoor cycling studio offers a Sufferfest class at 8 PM each Thursday for those who can’t make it during the day. Cyclists ride along to a Sufferfest indoor cycling training video for a one-hour workout that’s sure to be exhausting. (Live closer to DC? ZenGo Cycle in Bethesda and Biker Barre in Capitol Hill offer 7:45 PM classes.)

Yoga at Lil Omm
Monday to Friday at 7:45 PM or later.
This Tenleytown yoga studio, dedicated to parents and children, offers a variety of late-night classes, including an hour-long restorative yoga class at 7:45 PM on Wednesdays and an all-levels 8 PM flow class on Thursdays.

Pilates at Fuse Pilates
Monday to Thursday at 8 PM
Fuse Pilates hosts three different classes at 8 PM during the week, including the cardio workout Will Power & Grace, Fuse Toys, and their signature class, Fuse Pilates—all lasting for 55 minutes.

Bootcamp at Nike Georgetown
Mondays at 8 PM
You’ve read about Nike personal trainers’ killer Monday workouts. Sure, they’re free, but the hour-long bootcamps are no joke. It’ll be a serious stress relief session after a rough Monday at work.

Hot Yoga at Studio Yoga DC
Mondays to Thursdays at 8 PM
For those of you who really want to sweat and stretch it out at the end of the day, head to Studio Yoga in Dupont Circle for the hot vinyasa classes at 8 PM, levels 1.5 and 2. These classes are not meant for beginners. Beginners can head to CorePower Yoga in Georgetown for their 8:30 PM intro classes that are practiced in a warm, candlelit setting.

BONUS: Midnight Flow at Flow Yoga Center
Schedule varies.
It’s worth keeping tabs on Flow Yoga’s midnight flow class. It’s not offered regularly, but when it is, yogis are treated to three hours of yoga and dancing. The class is often taught by a visiting instructor and set to music. It usually begins around 9:30 PM and lasts until midnight.
