Last month, 107-year-old DC resident Virginia McLaurin charmed us all after a video of her dancing with the president and the first lady at the White House went viral. Now, she’s back in the news again, this time in a YouTube clip that shows her joking around with the Harlem Globetrotters, who are in town for four upcoming shows.
The video—filmed at the Roots Public Charter School, where she still volunteers— includes a short interview with McLaurin, followed by her participation in some of the Globetrotters’ famous basketball-handling tricks. Towards the end, McLaurin doles out some sage life advice (“Listen to your parents,” she implores) before getting presented with a custom Globetrotters jersey. It’s all very adorable and exactly what we need to remedy the stress of finding out that there may not be a way of getting to work on Wednesday.
