Leadership Greater Washington held its 2016 Innovative Leadership Awards Dinner on April 6 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. The annual spring celebration honors the most forward-thinking leaders in the region: individuals and organizations that drive innovation and positive change in the community. This year’s dinner marked 30 years of LGW’s role as a connector in the community. The celebration was attended by a great number of individuals from the LGW network and Greater Washington’s leadership communities. Channel 7’s Leon Harris was the program’s emcee,  and Leadership Greater Washington President & CEO Doug Duncan (Class of ’15), former Montgomery County Executive, announced this year’s honorees:

Private Sector Innovative Leader of the Year: Barbara Krumsiek (Class of ’98)

Public Sector Innovative Leader of the Year: Howard W. Stone Jr. (Class of ’96)

Innovative Community Partner of the Year: Washington Area Women’s Foundation, accepted by Jennifer Lockwood-Shabat (Class of ’15)
