Chris Roberts is a family law and divorce attorney who represents clients in all aspects of family law, including separation, divorce, property, child custody, support, post-judgment issues, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and domestic violence matters in Maryland.

Chris subscribes to his own lawyer’s version of the Hippocratic oath: an attorney’s presence in a person’s life should help, not hurt. Chris understand that people are complicated, and so are their families. Thoughtful, diligent representation is Chris’ bottom line. To that end, he focuses on every client’s particular needs, and tailors his representation and personal service to each client.

Chris regularly handles complex financial and child custody matters, and is frequently appointed by the Court as a Best Interest Attorney to represent children. Chris also serves as a mediator and practices Collaborative Law, currently serving as President-Elect of the Collaborative Dispute Resolution Professionals. Chris is a Fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). AAML members are recognized as premier family law practitioners with the highest levels of knowledgeskill and integrity, and are only admitted after successfully completing a rigorous selection process that includes interviews, examinations, and professional and judicial evaluations. Chris has been recognized by Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America as a premier divorce and family law attorney every year since 2015. Chris is an active member of the Maryland State Bar Association, currently serving on the Section Council for the Bar’s Family Law Section, as well as the Bar Association for Montgomery County, having held a number of leadership positions over the years. He frequently lectures on issues related to family law and divorce and also writes on family law topics.
