Successfully negotiating hundreds of cases to full and final settlement for his clients, Michael P. Sinay is a principal of the firm focused on family law.
Handling all aspects of family law including divorce, custody, alimony, child support, property division, property settlement agreements, pre-nuptial agreements and domestic violence, Mr. Sinay offers vast trial experience to the firm’s clients.
He has tried cases before the Circuit and District Courts of Maryland and the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, and argued before the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. He is trained as a Best Interest Attorney (formerly Guardian Ad Litem) and a Nagle v. Hooks attorney, and is frequently appointed to represent minor children by the Circuit Court of Maryland.
Earning his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, B.A. in 1990 and his law degree from Ohio Northern University in 1993, Mr. Sinay is admitted to practice law in Maryland (1994), the District of Columbia (1996) and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland (1995). He is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, Maryland Bar Association, American Bar Association and District of Columbia Bar Association.
Mr. Sinay has twice been named one of the DC area’s top family law attorneys by Washingtonian Magazine. He is a frequent lecturer at the Rita Rosenkrantz Family Law Training Seminar hosted by the Montgomery County Bar Association. He has also spoken at the Montgomery County Bar Association’s Annual Meeting and Law Day Celebration.
