Edward F. Aulisi, MD

Dr. Aulisi serves as the Surgical Director of the MedStar Neuroscience Center, the capital’s newest state-of-the-art facility for treating Neurological diseases. With the first Brainlab Cirq Robotic spine center in the country, precision spine surgery has become the standard-of-care at MedStar hospitals. As the Chairman of Neurosurgery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, the largest and most advanced hospital in Washington, DC, Dr. Aulisi has been a pioneer in Computer Assisted Image- Guided cranial and spinal surgery for over three decades.

He has been a Washingtonian Top Doctor for 29 consecutive years and Checkbook Magazine Top Doctor. With advanced training and interest in spinal and cranial surgery, Dr. Aulisi also serves as Director of the MedStar Pituitary Center, The MedStar Northern Virginia Spine Center, and Professor of Neurosurgery at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. A graduate of Princeton University, Dr. Aulisi has spent his entire career practicing neurosurgery in the nation’s capital, Maryland and Northern Virginia.
