Pride Idol finals, "North by Northwest," and Scissor Sisters.

“North by Northwest,” starring Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint, is tonight’s film at NoMa Summer Screen.

FILM: NoMa Summer Screen offers up Alfred Hitchcock's classic thriller North by Northwest tonight, along with a retro theme. Food vendors scheduled to be on hand include Sweetgreen, Smokin' Somethin', and Kitchen on K Street. On L Street between 2nd and 3rd, Northeast. Food and music starts at 7 PM, screening starts at 9. Free.

Or catch Ferris Bueller's Day Off on the field at Tubman Elementary in Columbia Heights. Screening organized by the same folks who brought you Columbia Heights Day. Kenyon and 13th streets, Northwest. 8:30 PM; Free.

MUSIC: Didn't feel like coughing up the $40 ticket price to catch Scissor Sisters at 9:30 Club? Head to U Street Music Hall for the Official Scissor Sisters After Party with DJ Sammy Jo (Scissor Sisters Tour DJ) alongside Natty Boom, Tight Fang, and Vanniety Kills. Party starts at 9 PM ($4 with concert ticket stub; $8 without). 

PRIDE: Capitol Pride's version of American Idol, Pride Idol, culminates tonight with a final round at Cobalt, featuring four finalists competing for use of a leased SAAB convertible. Doors open at 8:30 PM, competition starts at 9 ($5 donation at the door, which includes one drink ticket).
