Contemporary art and opera

ART: “Put A CORC In It” celebrates a collection of new work by 17 students from the Corcoran College of Art & Design, which will be on display inside the Renaissance Dupont Circle Hotel’s bar and lounge through Labor Day. The event includes a winetasting paired with cheeses and hors d’oeuvres, plus a chance to view the art. 6 to 8; free.

At the Black Cat, along with the War on Drugs. 9 PM; buy tickets ($15) at Ticket Alternative.

OPERA: Today is the last chance to catch Orpheus and Eurydice, part of the Urban Arias Spring Festival at Artisphere.
