Breakfast and lunch at the Riggsby

Chef Michael Schlow’s hot new restaurant in the Carlyle Hotel is now serving breakfast and lunch in addition to dinner. The throwback American theme continues with dishes like buttermilk pancakes with caramelized bananas, eggplant parmesan, and truffled egg salad sandwiches.

Dollar oysters at Food Wine & Co.

Drop by the Bethesda restaurant for $1 local oysters during lunch hour (11:30 to 3). Platters of a half or full dozen come with house-made cocktail sauce and beet mignonette.

Lobster Mondays at Tony and Joe’s

3000 K St., NW

Head to the Georgetown Waterfront at any hour on Monday for a summer deal: $20 for a lobster and draft beer of your choice (offered only in the bar areas). Not into lobster? Dine on Tuesdays when two tacos and a margarita go for $15.

Mussel Thursdays at Le Grenier

502 H St., NE

A good date-night idea: drop into this cozy French bistro on H Street for all-you-can-eat mussels on Thursdays (through August). The mussels can be steamed three ways, and come with bread for swiping up all the sauce ($18.95).

Summer steak deal at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle

950 I St., NW

One of the priciest dining options in CityCenterDC just got a little more affordable. Del Frisco’s offers a summer surf-and-turf that includes an eight-ounce filet mignon, and a choice of a crab cake, barbecue shrimp, or lemon-garlic scallops. The meal also comes with a salad and sides, and runs through September 7 ($55 per person).
