Gather a group and head to the courtyard for a private, family-style porchetta roast. Chef Brian McPherson’s spread includes the pig, tomato salad, mac and cheese, collards, biscuits, and more. The fine print: an eight-guest minimum, $38 per person, and one week’s notice required.

Italian brunch at Lupo Verde

The newest Italian spot on 14th Street just started brunch, with dishes such as poached eggs in tomato sauce with grilled bread, Nutella crepes, and pizzas with spinach, prosciutto, and eggs. Wash it down with morning cocktails including Prosecco with peach purée and grapefruit bitters. Service runs Saturday and Sunday 10 to 3.

The New York-based burger chain celebrates its tenth anniversary with a new beer: Shack X from Brooklyn Brewery. The malty IPA is available in 16-ounce drafts for $5.25, and pairs well with a double Shackburger.
