Burger Brackets: EatBar vs. Smith & Wollensky

Welcome to Burger Brackets, where we ask you to vote to discover the best burger in Washington. Today's face-off is...

And here we are, folks—the last match-up in this round (or the Savory Sixteen, as we've been calling it here at the Washingtonian.com offices). With Matchbox having edged out Capital Grille in their face-off, we're only waiting on the outcome of Central vs. Ray's Hell-Burger and this match-up to finalize the third round. And who is facing off in this afternoon's challenge, you might ask? Good question. Check below.

And as a reminder, you can keep tabs on all the Burger Brackets and browse through past ones here

EatBar: It's better known for its housemade hotdog, but the $10 burger at this Lyon Park gastropub is popular too. It's elevated by herbs and a good dose of butter, then topped with sweet pickles. There's even homemade ketchup to go with it.

Smith and Wollensky: The DC outlet of this steakhouse serves a two-napkin 8 oz. burger topped with cheddar and tomato/jalapeno relish.

Who makes the better burger? Vote in the poll below, then leave your thoughts in the comments. Then go vote in the Central vs. Ray's Hell-Burger match-up—that's open until 10 AM tomorrow.
