Bistro Aracosia

Dumplings are a true delight at this pair of Afghan restaurants. Try the yogurt-dressed bundles with spicy beef; leek and scallion; or pumpkin—or better yet, order an assortment of all three. Spicy beef-and-lentil sambosas dusted in powdered sugar and cardamom are also a treat. The “mini taste of Aracosia” is a great way to sample the menu’s many grilled meats, stews, and spiced basmati-­rice dishes. We’re partial to chicken stewed in yogurt and braised greens or charbroiled lamb rib chops.
