We could hang at this Mount Pleasant cafe/dining room from breakfast to lunch to dinner. In the morning, queue up for slightly sour bagels with beet-cured salmon or guava turnovers. Midday, the ferment-loving kitchen serves vindaloo fried-chicken sandwiches with pickled carrots and tempeh burgers with kimchi barbecue sauce. At night, the menu expands to include gems like ultra-creamy stracciatella cheese with lavash; a beet salad with bright yuzu vinaigrette; bundles of pork tortelloni with salsa macha; and a cheffy riff on a Filet-O-Fish sandwich. Arrive between 5:30 and 7 for happy hour, with excellent cocktails for a mere eight bucks.
