Wagyu stars at this 21-seat omakase destination—in the former Palisades home of storied Japanese restaurant Makoto—from Sushi Ogawa chef Minoru Ogawa and the owners of Shaw’s Zeppelin. The eight-course menu showcases buttery A5 beef from Miyazaki alongside other top-grade Japanese steak and seafood. Standout dishes include a silky chawanmushi (egg custard) with foie gras and egg-roll-like harumaki with a dusting of sansho pepper. Wagyu even makes its way onto the excellent cocktail list with a fat-washed twist on an old-fashioned.
