Aaron Silverman’s Barracks Row destination just celebrated its tenth anniversary, and it still possesses the energy most restaurateurs only dream of—this is a party you don’t ever want to end. Looking for the best dirty martini in town? It’s here and (surprise!) it’s nonalcoholic. Also on offer: Solo cups of no-joke rum slushies and plenty of proper French wine. The menu is just as playful and enthralled with high/low mash-ups. There are tiered trays of tea sandwiches . . . filled with fried pickles and chili crunch. Entrées pay homage to hall-of-fame chefs—including a lobster ode to DC’s own Gérard Pangaud and a superior miso-glazed short rib that nods to both Nobu Matsuhisa and Joel Robuchon.
