Adams Morgan
Ethiopian
Last spring, Selam Gossa relocated the restaurant named after her late mother from Park View to roomier, exposed-brick digs in Adams Morgan. Tsehay stands out in a neighborhood already known for Ethiopian fare, with its rainbow of vegan dishes such as exceptionally creamy, garlicky shiro and misir lentils balanced with the right amount of heat. On the meaty side, go for buttery kifto and soulful stews including fall-apart yebeg wat (lamb) in a vivid red-chili sauce. To go with it all: fresh injera made each day.
