There’s been so much action in Northeast DC’s restaurant scene that it’s easy to overlook places that have been around for years, such as Erik Bruner-Yang’s spare Cambodian/Taiwanese dining room. The caramel fried chicken from the early days is still very much a winner, but there’s always something exciting to try: gingery soup dumplings; smoky brisket with roti; and cocktails like the frothy Chinese Opera, with pisco, lemongrass, and apple shrub.
