Things we Love: Tuna Sliders at PS7’s

Tuna sliders at PS7’s come in plates of three, six, and nine. Photograph by Allison Dinner.

Mini-burgers were all the rage a couple of years ago—but by 2007 the fad has mostly fizzled. Nonetheless, we hope that chef Peter Smith's twist on the bite-sized burger, in the form of tuna sliders, will remain a fixture on his lounge menu at PS7's.

Tuna tartare, perked up with flecks of cilantro and sesame seeds, is sandwiched inside pastry chef Naomi Gallego’s delectable butter-brushed mini-Parker House rolls. The adorable, addictive two-biters normally come in sets of 3 ($12), 6 ($18), or 9 ($24). But come during happy hour—between 5 and 7 Monday through Saturday—and you can snack on a trio for just $7. If you have to share, you’ll be tempted to order another round—trust me.
