The best part of Cinco de Mayo? Why, permission to drink as many margaritas as you like, of course. Learn how to make a great one with this video recipe from the folks at Oyamel below. (And if you don't want to watch the video, worry not—the recipe is printed after the jump as well.) For some Cinco de Mayo events going on tonight, click here.
1 cup Water
2 tablespoons salt
½ cup Lime juice
1 teaspoon of Soy Lecithin
1 ½ oz. Jose Cuervo Traditional
1 oz. Cointreu
2 oz . Fresh Lime Juice
Salt Air Preparation:
Combine salt air ingredients into a large open container and blend using an immersion blender until a light foam forms. Set aside.
Combine the margarita ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into cocktail glass. Re-whip the salt air if necessary to build up more foam. Using a large spoon, gently pick up only the foam, no liquid, and place foam on top of the drink.
