This just in: The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) has announced a contest in which it will select ten lucky supporters to attend the inauguration. All you have to do is make a donation in any amount here and write a few words about what attending the inauguration means to you.
According to an e-mail sent to supporters today, ten contributors and their guests will be flown to Washington, put up in a hotel, and attend the inauguration on January 20. The lucky winners will be selected from donors who give between now and January 8.
The fine print at the bottom of this page states that you must be 18 or older to enter and you must donate online. Dust off your thesaurus because winners will be selected based on "the strength of their essay." Winners will be chosen before January 15.
Feeling the economic crunch? Not to worry—the fine print also states that you don't actually have to donate to enter. You can enter without a donation here. Hooray for loopholes!
