Burger Brackets: Nathan vs. Billy Martin’s Tavern

Welcome to Burger Brackets, where we ask you to vote to discover the best burger in Washington. Today's face-off is...

Who makes the best burger in Washington? We're holding a March Madness-style, bracketed face-off to find out. Check back every day at 10 AM and 2 PM for continuing burger vs. burger competitions. And don't forget to vote for your favorites!

We love the Tune Inn on the Hill for a variety of reasons, and we know many of you do, too—but apparently their burger ain't one of them. Palena Cafe won that face-off easily, moving on to the second round.

Today's burger face-off? Check below.

Nathan's: This eight-ouncer—one of the hallmarks of the menu at this longtime Georgetown saloon—is dressed with the classic lettuce, tomato, and bread-and-butter pickles.

Billy Martin's Tavern: Served on a toasted roll, the eight-ounce patty at this history-steeped Georgetown restaurant is made from certified Angus Beef and grilled however you want it.

Who makes the better burger? Vote in the poll below, then leave your thoughts in the comments. And there's still time to vote in the Sign of the Whale vs. BGR Burger Joint face-off; that poll goes until 10 AM tomorrow.
