This week, we checked out the sleek modern-Asian restaurant Zentan (1155 14th St., NW; 202-379-4366) at the Donovan House hotel in Thomas Circle. The restaurant is run by Susur Lee, the chef behind Shang in New York and Lee in Toronto, and features small plates, sushi, and pan-Asian entrées. We spoke to one female diner who has already visited the restaurant half a dozen times as well as identical twins with not-so-identical tastes. They commented on the New York vibe, innovative sushi rolls, and Lee’s signature Singaporean slaw.
