The Cupcake Cup: Bakeshop vs. Hello Cupcake

Help us vote for the best cupcake in Washington.

It was a close and contested race, but more than 500 votes later, Curbside Cupcakes beat Baked & Wired to move to the Edible Eight. Baked & Wired, Washingtonian will always have a special place in our hearts for you. (For more cupcake fun, you can still vote in the Georgetown Cupcake vs. Furin's matchup here.)

Bakeshop: For a long time, the only way you could get Bakeshop cupcakes was to swing by the (now defunct) Murky Coffee in Arlington or to order from the baker's Web site. Now, Bakeshop has its own store in Clarendon, and you can order everything from red velvet to cookies 'n' cream cupcakes with abandon.

Hello Cupcake: With espresso drinks, wifi, cupcake flavors such as Velvet Elvis, 24 Carrot, Peanut Butter Blossom, and gluten-free and vegan choices, this Dupont Circle store has tons of fans.

This poll will stay open until 10 AM on Saturday.

*To help keep this contest fair, we’ve elected to use an IP address-based poll. This means that if you are voting from an office or network setting, not everybody will be able to vote. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we hope you’ll encourage coworkers to vote from their home computer.
