If this month’s travel-themed photo contest proved anything, it’s this: You people like to travel. A lot.
We received hundreds of photos of beautiful destinations all over the world. Peru’s Machu Picchu turned up a few times, but we also saw photos from such far-flung places as Luang Prabang, Laos; Bogotá, Colombia; Lisbon, Portugal; even Cyprus.
Check out the finalists’ slide show (click here to see it in a new window) to see our judges’ top picks, then come back here to vote for your favorite. The photo with the most votes on at noon on March 31 will be declared the winner; it’ll appear in the May issue of The Washingtonian.
Of course, with all the good entries this month, we had to post a runners-up gallery. See if your photo caught our eye here.
And remember, it’s only one vote per person, and we monitor the polls closely, so play fair. If we notice voting irregularities for a particular photograph, we’ll disqualify it.
Good luck to the finalists, and happy voting, readers!> > Planning a trip? Check out Washingtonian’s new travel blog, Great Getaways.
This poll will stay open until noon on March 31.
*To help keep this contest fair, we've elected to use an IP address-based poll. This means that if you are voting from an office or network setting, not everybody will be able to vote. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we hope you'll encourage coworkers to vote from their home computers.
