Where & When: What to Do Tonight

A media mixer, 3D art, and Bond music are on tap for tonight.

Expand your professional network at Capitol Communicator’s Summer in the City mixer at Adams Morgan’s District Lounge. Professionals from various communication disciplines and media outlets will mingle in the lounge and on the roof deck. Cocktails will be available for $5, and you can enjoy crabcakes, angus sliders, onion rings, guacamole and chips, and more. There’ll be chances to win door prizes such as an iPad or dinner for two. Tickets are $30. 6 PM.

Experience the latest work of artist Tony Savoie at Long View Gallery’s opening reception at 6:30. The Orlando native uses a wide range of media, spray paints, pencils, photographs, stencils, and oils to create multi-dimensional art. The exhibit is showing through September 12. Free.

The National Symphony Orchestra performs the music of James Bond at Wolf Trap. Conducted by Carl Davis with vocalist Mary Carewe, the performance features theme songs from classic Bond films including Goldfinger, Casino Royale, and Dr. No. Tickets are $20 to $52. 8:15.
