Phil Greene of the Museum of the American Cocktail and Jerry LeNoir, cofounder of Mr-Booze.com, will lead an in-depth seminar on how to improve your bartending skills. Impress dinner guests with your own personalized cocktail recipes and menus, and get tips on decor and entertaining. $45 in advance or $50 at the door. 7 to 8:30.

The Rogue Ales Oyster Fest, one of the most popular events of 2009 DC Beer Week, has returned to the Reef. Even with 3,000 fresh oysters on hand, get there early—last year’s crowd managed to eat them in record time. Seven Rouge beers, including Dead Guy, Rogue Irish Lager, Chatoe Orgasmic, and Somer Honey Orange Ale will be available along with samples of Rogue’s Dead Guy Whiskey, Dark Rum, and Spruce Gin. 5 to 10.

U Street Music Hall
celebrates Live Green’s two years of making green living easy and fun in Washington. Live Green offers its 5,000 supporters discounts on DC area businesses who follow environmentally and socially responsible practices. The birthday celebration will be an evening of food, drink, and dancing to local music talent See-I. Tickets ($15 for Live Green members, $20 for nonmembers) are available online and at the door. 6:30 to 9:30
