The powder is fresh, and the ski resorts are ready for business. All that’s left is for you to score those sweet skis and perfect pair of snow boots you’ve been eyeing.
But shopping for ski gear can be tricky, say Linda Kahane and Rick Ray, the clothing and gear experts at the Ski Center. When shopping, remember that size really does matter—the last thing you want is to get injured while on the slopes because your shoes didn’t fit right.
As Ray also points out, “The best gear in the world always isn’t the best gear for you.” When buying new equipment, be honest and ask yourself, “What’s my ability level?” and “What type of skiing do I like to do?”
“You don’t want to read reviews and buy the best ski out there,” Ray says. “You want the equipment that will let you have the most fun possible.”
So whether you want something for yourself or you’re looking for a totally rad gift for a ski bunny friend, our list of some of this year’s best-selling items is a great place to start.
