Wine Enthusiast has released its 2012 list of 100 Best Wine Restaurants, and Washington was nicely represented. Alongside CityZen, Art and Soul, Plume at the Jefferson Hotel, and the Ashby Inn, three of our newer, more easy-going eateries were included. Those would be Birch & Barley, Estadio, and Graffiato. Middleburg’s Goodstone Inn and Restaurant is also on the list.
Baltimore’s Charleston, Woodberry Kitchen, and the pretty new Michael Mina project Wit & Wisdom also made the cut.
The Washington location of Alain Ducasse’s Adour–its wine list is a frequently cited local favorite–was not among the chosen ones, but its New York counterpart was. As they are wont to do, restaurants in New York and California dominated the list. Check out the full shebang on the magazine’s website.
