Sarah Palin to Write a Fitness Book

The question is: Will you read it?

In today’s “Really?!” news, word on the street is that former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is writing a book on fitness.

That’s according to an e-mail sent to People magazine yesterday, in which Palin said, “Our family is writing a book on fitness and self-discipline focusing on where we get our energy and balance as we still eat our beloved homemade comfort foods!”

That’s all the details People revealed yesterday, and it’s unclear whether Palin actually has a book deal yet.

Granted, the idea of the former VP candidate being an expert on fitness isn’t entirely out of the blue. Palin, 48, was featured in the August 2009 issue of Runner’s World, in which she said she’s been an avid runner for 35 years.

Palin joins a long line of celebs turned fitness authors. Rapper 50 Cent will publish Formula 50: A 6-Week Total Body Transformation Plan in December, and Kelly Killoren Bensimon of the Real Housewives of New York City recently wrote I Can Make You Hot!: The Supermodel Diet
