And which Capital Bikeshare stations will be closed.

Drivers are out of luck come January 21, as it seems almost every road surrounding the Mall will be closed to traffic. But what about bikers?

Roads that are closed to vehicles will also be closed to cyclists. But if you plan to venture out via bike, it’s worth knowing where to park.

On Monday, a bike parking area will be established on 16th and I streets, Northwest, with space for “hundreds of bikes,” according to the DC Department of Transportation and GoDCGo. Spots are available on a first come, first served basis, and cyclists must lock their own bikes.

For Capital Bikeshare members, the following stations have already been removed:

  • Tenth and E streets, Northwest
  • Tenth Street and Constitution Avenue, Northwest
  • 15th Street and New York Avenue, Northwest
  • Reagan Building/14th and D streets, Northwest
  • 14th and G streets, Northwest
  • 14th and H streets, Northwest

On inauguration day, the 14th and Jefferson and 12th and Jefferson stations will be shut down on the Mall.

There will also be two bike corrals open Monday from 7 AM to 5 PM specifically for Capital Bikeshare members to park: 17th and K streets, Northwest, and 12th Street and Independence Avenue, Southwest.
