The Great Doughnut Derby: Lyon Hall vs. Tabard Inn

Let the games begin.

Is everybody ready? The time has come to determine who makes the best doughnuts in Washington, DC.

By now you’ve filled out your brackets and are ready to follow along as we work our way through round one. Remember, bracket placements were determined via a random selection system—so it’s totally by chance that the creatively conceived (Asian five spice, anyone?) fried dough offerings at Arlington brasserie Lyon Hall have been pitted against the brunchtime favorites at the historic Tabard Inn, where ’nuts are doused in cinnamon sugar and served with vanilla whipped cream.

So, yeah, we are starting out with a tough one here. Still, decisions must be made. Online voting closes at 5 PM daily; results will be announced the following day. Vote away.
