Great Bars 2013: Green Pig Bistro

Off Clarendon’s main drag, 11-month-old Green Pig Bistro draws
a self-selecting set of craft-beverage enthusiasts who pick beer, wine,
and cocktails from a page of the menu titled “the Trough.” Drinkers can
snag a stool around the bar or in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows
while sipping locally brewed Port City Tidings or a GP Dark & Stormy,
with house-made ginger beer, rum, lime, and “tiki” bitters. Insider tip:
Every few weeks, the bar hosts a tap takeover with local breweries. Open
Wednesday through Monday.
