Here’s your chance to snag a free week of classes and kick off your own fall yoga practice.

It’s hard to believe, but the annual National Yoga Month is right around the corner. Monday, September 1, begins the monthlong celebration dedicated to all things yoga. Here’s how you can be a part of the festivities in the Washington community.

1) One week of free yoga
If you’ve been meaning to try that new yoga studio in your neighborhood, this is the time to do it. With a Yoga Month card printed from the Yoga Health Foundation’s website, you can try out a local studio free for one week. The only catch: This deal only works if you’ve never been to the studio before. We also recommend calling the studio to make sure it’s participating in National Yoga Month.

2) Donation-based classes
Throughout September, you can support the Yoga Health Foundation by attending a donation-based yoga class at various studios. Bikram Yoga Bethesda has four classes on the schedule: September 6 at 9:30 AM, September 7 at 6 AM, September 20 at 9:30 AM, and September 21 at 6 AM. (Also be sure to check out our roundup of studios that regularly host donation-based classes.)

3) Back to the Mat Week at Circle Yoga
Now through September 7, plenty of Circle Yoga classes are marked down to $15 from $21 as part of Back to the Mat Week. Visit the website for a list of all available classes, from restorative yoga to vigorous yoga.

4) Free Yogalates in the park
Yogalates and Pilates in the Park is back September 5 through October 10 in Farragut Square. The free, hourlong classes begin every Thursday at 5:30 PM. The first three classes will be Pilates taught by Results Gym instructors; the second half of the series will be Yogalates, taught by Yoga District instructors. No registration is required—just show up with your mat.

5) Yoga and Thai at Past Tense Studio
Starting Monday, September 16, Past Tense Studio is partnering with Beau Thai. Before the start of the studio’s noon class, Beau Thai will take orders for a lunchbox made specifically for Past Tense Studio members. When class ends at 1, you’ll have a hot meal waiting for you.

6) Donate to the Smithsonian’s “Yoga: The Art of Transformation” exhibit
The world’s first exhibition dedicated to yoga and art is coming to the Smithsonian’s Freer and Sackler Galleries in October. In the meantime, consider donating to the crowdsourcing campaign and help the galleries reach their goal of $200,000. A portion of the donations will help bring yoga classes to the museum.
