How to Get Ice Off Your Windshield the Easy Way

There’s nothing to be done about unplowed roads but wait (and hit refresh on the DC plow map every few minutes, of course).

But when those little green dots finally start to populate the side street where you stashed your car pre-blizzard, here’s how to save yourself ten minutes of windshield-scraping time.

What you need: a spray bottle, water, and rubbing alcohol.

Mix the water and alcohol together (about a 1:1 ratio should do the trick). Spray on your icy windshield and voila.

There’s no need to take my word for it. No More Ice, Ice Baby
